The GIVIT is an Intensive Outreach Support Service for young people with problematic alcohol or substance use, commissioned by South Lanarkshire ADP. We can offer support at home, in the community, or in other suitable locations requested by young people. Referrals can be made by Practioners, Family, Friends or Self Referrals from Young People themselves.
Core Service Elements
One to One Support
Our Youth Navigators will develop a clear pathway into treatment and recovery initiatives using a person-centred approach.
CBT Counselling
Our qualified CBT Counsellors can be accessed quickly within our service providing participants with the most appropriate therapeutic support at the right times.
Youth Recovery Community
We have open & inclusive spaces where young people can be supported on their recovery journeys to socialise, participate in groupwork, volunteer and learn new skills.
Peer Mentoring
Our young people with lived experience will share their insights and support their peers, ensuring them that they are not alone.
Confidentiality
We are committed to providing a confidential, caring and compassionate service for our young people.
Referral Process
To make a referral the young person must fit the essential criteria. For Practioners, Family and Friends please click the Online Referral Form below which should take 10/15 minutes to complete. If you are a Young Person self referring click the I am worried about my alcohol/drug use button below and leave your name and contact number and we will contact you within 24hrs.
